[Icon request | Icon change] folder-config / folder-development
- folder-config / folder-development
- folder-config / folder-development
- Folder icon for configuration files / Folder icon for programming
There currently is no icon for configuration folders. I was using the folder-development
icon instead, but in my opinion, it doesn't quite resemble development.
What I'm suggesting is, to rename the current folder-development
to folder-config
and create a new icon for development. I'd like to suggest one of the following:
Suggestion 1 | Suggestion 2 | Suggestion 3 |
---|---|---|
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
The suggestion 1 icon already there. It's name is folder-code
Therefore, folder-development
should be drawn from scratch, but I have no idea how it should look like.
@SmartFinn Maybe the folder could have a (monochrome) hammer and wrench symbol to symbolize development?
Example Icon:
similar icon preferences-system-services.svg but current icon used as this
@varlesh can we swap these symbols? The cogs a good symbol for services too.
Yes. I don't mind
But only this icons used for symlinks... need check conformity
@creepertron95 feel free to use the symbol for the folder-development, but do not forget to rename the current folder-development to folder-config, or should I do it?
@SmartFinn It would probably be safer for you to rename the multiple color folders and symlinks.
@creepertron95 nevermind, just overwrite the current folder-development icon, I'll create folder-config later.
Is a separate icon necessary when folder-projects
exists?
@SmartFinn @RPGHank I propose to use one of those icons https://icons8.com/icons/set/project
I like these icons better for folder-development
:
I've tried a few variations, but neither one really stands out to me. Now, I think that symlink folder-development to folder-project is not a bad idea.
