Ai not firing after part destruction
ISSUE TYPE
- Bug Report (Something is broken)
KSP and BDA Version
1.6.1 1.3.10
Windows 10
SUMMARY
It seems that when creating a tank like craft. Any type of part destruction after a gun fire seems to stop AI from firing again. Video on issue here: https://youtu.be/3Oigv-PqRx0
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Log Files
Strange.
Could you also post the test craft files?
Thanks for the report!
Sorry for taking a bit, Here's the vessles You wanted. I stripped a few parts from them. Tracks to ksp wheels. However before sending, I tested them once again with a barebones install with bdac and FDC armor and guns. https://spacedock.info/mod/1455/Fox%20Defense%20Contracts%20-%20Tank%20turrets In case you need the gun and armor. Craft files.zip
So, I tested this with BDAc 1.3.2 and KSP 1.8.1 and I am still getting this issue. If a bullet destroys a root part of an object. It will no longer fire on the target. However if a bullet destroys a non root object. Like an armor that's connected to one root part but nothing else connects to it that get's destroyed. The weapon will continue to fire on the target. KSP.log
Steps to reproduce this. You can use my mod FDC to test this theory. Which the craft file does use the armor and turret inside. However I believe you can test this with Stock bdac settings.
-
Create two different type of crafts. One that has a root part and one to two objects connected to it. Another craft with a part that is connected to another part only. Nothing else connecting to the part.
-
Let BDAc guard mode attack the crafts. Non explosive would be best to test.
If there's anything else to add. Let me know.
