Speaking English
Hi everyone,
I would like to say that if issues have English translation with their original (Chinese) descriptions it would be awesome. It has two sides, we (not Chinese speakers/readers) can understand the problem and read the solution, and also we may help to overcome the issue as well. So it could be a win-win situation for the individuals from other languages.
Also I am not a native English speaker too, but those kind of platforms requires us to speak (I am clearly not forcing anyone). The documentation is as important as the code itself. We all know Vue has its attraction also due to its clear documentation.
Thank you.
PS: I would like to thank @PanJiaChen and all other contributors of this awesome project.
The best solution is forcing everyone use English, although I am also a native Chinese speaker. Otherwise it is not open-sourcing and this project may become another thinkphp.
The action of using mother language is refusing open-sourcing. It is just ask help and solution. Selfish
@raphaelsoul It is good to have someone who's native Chinese and also uses the word "force" :smile: for others. So yes this is an open platform where anyone can join from anywhere of the world. But (as always) a standard come in handy (I am very picky whilst choosing the words).
@PanJiaChen Thanks for the consideration.
The situation is that not all participators learned English before. So it's not easy to force everyone to use English as their issue body. Alternative ways for this are to have diverse forum for native developers(not helpful for open sourcing) or have auto translating(wrong translation for specific words or grammar) using Chrome or some browser else(even a better access provided by GitHub if possible). However it makes no difference for those who know little about English trying create an English issue with translation helper.
@ozanmuyes I like this initiative, since it would follow a standard and would help the community in general, I am not a native speaker of English, in fact I speak Spanish, I would like to start doing the translation in my language, but it is very difficult to translate Chinese to interpret English.
@PanJiaChen
I think it is more convenient to convert from English to Spanish.
What do you think are the bad places for internationalization?
What do you mean by bad internationalization places?
@PanJiaChen
@EdwinBetanc0urt What caused you to translate from Chinese into Spanish instead of translating from English to Spanish?
@PanJiaChen in particular I consider it easier to translate from English to Spanish since it is a standard in development, I can read it easily and interpret most of the words.
However, it is not easy for me to translate from Chinese to Spanish, since I can not read it.
Everyone has to learn Chinese...from now.
Dang, I'm really impressed by this project, but i don't want to spend 3+ years on learning Chinese first.
@tmikaeld I think the same as you, it is easier to adapt to a standard, it would help more to the global collaboration and it would give more impulse to the project
Hi everyone, is nice this project.
Is nice to have all project with English language, I know that is ver hard work however is not impossible. We have a Latam language and always we make code and documentation from English for make all global.
We are part of ADempiere ERP UI and we want to migrate UI to Vue-UI using PanjiaChen project.
@PanJiaChen thanks for this great project
force everyone to use English is not open-sourcing .turn to closed-source if you wang exclude those who don't know English
