Enhancement: Cannot view pack when Private (messaging)

This is a shame, because it means users cannot see their weight breakdown, etc unless they make it Public.

I'll be adding the weight breakdown info to private packs eventually.

The primary motivation is to encourage users to make their packs public to benefit people who may be searching for information about similar trips.

I understand that this is to encourage users to make their pack public, and I have no problem with that. But I think this should be mentioned a bit more explicitly on the pack creation page (I never saw the hover information next to the public toggle). I just discovered Packstack today and searched for 30min after a pack overview page, I thought this feature was missing until I discovered this issue.

Some suggestions of how this can be made more clear for new users:

• Setting the packs public by default (on the creation page), and notify the user when he/she sets it to private, saying that they will only have access to restricted features.
• Disabling (graying out) the view button instead of completely hiding it, and by hovering over it inform that this feature is not available for private packs.
