Is this still being worked on?
It's such a shame if this has been abandonned.
There simply isn't any other LLE 3DS emulator out there!
For now it seems like it
Nobody else cares about ARM9 support, it's so annoying that only one emulator (this) has that feature
Since this one is no longer developed there is another lle emulator being developed called 3beans, made by the noods ds emulator dev. But its really early
That's exciting, I'll make sure to follow the progress of that
I'm working on a new version of this emulator that has a JIT, some HLE functionality on top of the full LLE support, and a compute-based hardware renderer, but it's going to take a while before I post any updates on that. For now, I'd recommend following 3Beans.
@PSI-Rockin Wow, really?? That's great, no other emulator developer (other then 3beans) seems interested in ARM9. Just curious, will this eventually be capable of emulating the DS backwards compatibility?
I have no plans to emulate backwards compatibility. Maybe in the distant future.
What's the difference between DS mode compatibility and the ARM9 processor? I always thought it was just the CPU that was why nothing can do it. I'm asking out of curiosity, it's hard to think of a use case for it anyway
The ARM9 is used in 3DS mode for accessing storage devices and crypto hardware. As the 3DS retains all of the DS hardware, backwards compatibility would be functionally equivalent to creating an entire DS emulator, and since mature DS emulators exist already, it's a tough sell for me to implement.

Got it, I always thought it just used the ARM9 processor for DS mode and the rest was 3DS hardware
