what exactly freezes? Your whole computer, VS Code or just the icon? Is it also happening for the other icon extensions as well or just with this one here?
When I have the "disable-hardware-acceleration: true" function turned off, that's when the issue occurs. Once it's activated, the problem is resolved.

in your video I still don't see the issue. What exactly freezes? But good to hear that you can solve this issue by configure the hardware acceleration setting. To be honest it seems like it's an issue with VS Code. The Icon extension maintainers are only using the provided APIs from the VS Code Team.
Rather than freezing, the options become transparent or burned, i don't know. But yes, it seems like an issue with VS Code and my hardware configuration.
