Unable to trigger "ZotLit: Update literature note" with hotkey

I know this action is available from the kebab menu on the note pane, but I typically navigate the interface with my keyboard for actions like this. I am able to assign the hotkey in the settings, but the plugin doesn't respond to it.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Zotero and Obsidian with ZotLit installed on both.
  2. Create a new literature note from Zotero.
  3. In Obsidian, open Settings > Hotkeys and search "Update" in the search filter.
  4. Give ZotLit: Update literature note a hotkey that is not currently being used. (For me, Ctrl + U was free.)
  5. In Zotero, make an edit that will appear in your literature note on an update, such as a new annotation.
  6. In Obsidian, navigate to your matching literature note, ensure cursor focus is in that tab/pane, and press your selected hotkey.

Result:

  • No change in literature note.
  • Triggering an update from the kebab menu works as expected.
  • No warnings or errors provided by the Obsidian interface or in the inspector.

Other Notes:

  • This does not seem to be an issue with Obsidian or this particular hotkey assignment. I moved the assignment to a different plugin (Zotero Integration) and the action fired as expected from them.
  • This action also doesn't show up in the command pallet, so even though I can pin it there from the settings menu, it still doesn't show up and can't be activated by a few keystrokes.
  • Closing Obsidian and launching it again does not fix this issue.
