It is probably doable, but requires lots of patching. I tried at some point in time, but gave up. See here: https://github.com/PF4Public/gentoo-overlay/issues/26
Unfortunately this repository is not very active and might be outdated. Perhaps the information in https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-debian/pull/328 could be helpful for you.
