Description
Some text in the game is missing when using any hardware renderer. The bug is not present when using the software renderer. None of the FPU/VU/VIF/EE gamefixes help the bug. Different VU clamp/round modes have no effect.
Also worth noting is that in the latest tested version, player shadows are rendered but seem to be improperly blended when compared to software mode.
Developer notes:
Here the explanation of the missing letter. In order to save some memory, texture and RT are located at the same destination. Initial RT is cleared whereas is ought to load GS memory. Next draw call will read back the RT to get the input texture so it will get 0 instead of the letter.
Hum I know potentially the remaining issue. RT is draw with a width of 10 blocks (640 pixels). The texture is read back with a width of 8 blocks (512 pixels). It kinds of breaks the scaling of the texure. The letters have a different positions. Of course it will be a nightmare to fix and it would be even worst with upscaling enabled.

For the record, there is an issue with dynamic FBW.
Tested the GS Dump and the text is still missing. Preload Frame Data will replace the text with junk, seems to be the same issue as #1739
Not sure if you all are struggling with missing text in Smash Court Tennis Pro Tourney 2 still. I was able to solve the text issue by changing the Renderer setting to OpenGL (Software). At the bottom in mode settings Rendering Threads = 1 and all boxes are blank. All text is now working. This is for GS configuration. I play it all the time now. Hope this helps!
it seem alot better on v1.7.4562 but not fully fixed ( using the gs dump)
this is one of those errors that if you go into the menu in software mode and switch into hardware the text will disappear but reappear when you switch to software. but if you went into the menu in hardware mode and never went into the menu in software mode switching to software mode won't make the text appear.
doing preload frame data will give you what Link has in the previous post.. interestingly when switching through a lot of graphics options it will actually give the correct output for a frame or so.
Any fixes underway for this?
