What's the progress on this? Where did you leave off and what would need to be done to get it working?

Hi,

I think I stopped at the memory mappings. I was planning on continuing for the GSoC but somebody else got the 'job', so I stopped and moved on.

So I remember being able to load a custom 32bits assembly code and executing basic stuff (writing on the console), but that's about all.

@P1kachu

somebody else got the 'job'

Is that somebody else actively submitting PR's on this github repo? Looking at the main repo page I haven't seen a commit made since May 1, 2017.

Also, has there been a roadmap of where this branch is going?

Also, where is the discussion happening about this branch, ie. IRC, mailing list, AOL Instant Messenger?

cheers 🍻 Chris

It was taken by another guy for GSoC last year, and at this point I completely changed my focus so I didn't really advance. It was just something I was doing for myself to learn stuff, and if it worked maybe try to mainline it. But that was more of a personal project, sorry :/

Well if time permits 🤞 I might create a fork, and start hacking ⛏ away at this. I really enjoyed running qemu when I was running Arch Linux on my local box, ie. a MBP, but running qemu on macOS isn't as quick, so I'm going to try and get the most out docker and xhyve for the moment.

cheers 🍻 Chris
