[Content Blocking] Add support for missing filter options
I've found that useful "Specifying filter options" don't work yet( http://adblockplus.org/en/filters#options would be great to use them all for powerful blocking!
We support 8 option types for now. Do you have any specific page, where is missing some option or where it doesn't work correctly?
seems "third-party" option doesn't work ( , the most powerful option imo
and wich 8 are supported for now ?
"third-party" option is supported and should work. If you know about any page where it doesn't work, provide a link please and I'll check it. We support third-party, stylesheet, image, script, object, object-subrequest, subdocument, xmlhttprequest and domain including exception options. So it is actually 9 option types.
I'm using custom filter - "*$third-party" plus exeptions for that rule ... - and that combination is not working on any sites now((( (using temporary now winXP last build, may be this is the cause) and UI for visualizing what element is loaded or blocked is planing ?
What version of Otter are you using? I tried your filter together with "@@||img.hrej.cz$domain=hrej.cz" exception and it works well with latest weekly (152). There was a bug in older versions in exception resolving. You should update to the latest one and try your filters with it. In case it will still not work than I'll need example of your type of exceptions to test it more.
There is already widget which is displaying number of blocked elements and other data, but for now it is disabled in default configuration. You can add it manually via Toolbars menu.
May be cause in that....I'm using js globally off, and on a certain sites js is on... but still not working((( - testing on #152,winXP if so, than need js suboptions - "enable js for addons" and "enable js for internal addons"(including content blocker and inspector) btw, is it inspector working now ? .... in my configuration not working((((
Blocking of requests is not dependent on JS in any way. So far I was not able to reproduce your problem. Can you provide me a rules you are using for any page where it doesn't work?
Page inspector really doesn't work with disabled JS. You can open a new separate issue for this problem.
Inspector not working without JS is not really something that we can fix. ;-)
"third-party" option is supported and should work.
Sorry to bump this, but where can I add these third-party filters? I only see the option to enable/disable fiter lists, but no option to add filter rules.
you should edit filter list rules manually ;)
@Vistaus, you can add own profile using Add -> New… on about:content-filters page.
