Dont download album if exists

I noticed, whenever I download a duplicate album(by mistake), it clears the existing files and try to re download them.

Yeah same url, For example just download whatever album you want and after that download it again you will see the existing files will be deleted, Expected behaviour should: Skip (because album exist with exact files)

BandcampDownloader should already skip the download if the same track already exists. What value do you have in Settings → Advanced settings → Allowed file size difference? The default value (5%) should work fine.

@Otiel I am encountering the same issue. I have set the "Allowed file size difference (%)" setting above 5% all the way up to 100%, and it still re-downloads the files that I just downloaded minutes ago.

Hi there, any updates on this?

This fix is important to me, due to the way my music manager (MediaMonkey) works, when I use the download discography feature in your app, it is always overwriting the existing files, which in turn MediaMonkey erases all metadata such as song ratings from those songs (due to it correlating ratings to the ID3tag of the file itself). If your app is fixed to no longer overwrite files if the user chooses, then this issue would no longer occur for me.

Would it be possible for you to make a checkbox in the settings that entirely enables and disables overwriting files if the exact same filename already exists in the destination. I would think this could be a quick fix for people like me who want to never overwrite. Please and thank you!
