Preview Showing - Not Rendered Markdown Suddenly

I recently started rolling out projects with Markdown and things have been great, until a few days ago I got a complain that the preview of the markdown is not showing properly. When I looked in to the HTML I see that the Markdown hasn't been rendered. I am puzzled as things seem to be alright. The snap below shows both the looks of the preview and the html - see that there are no <p> tags.

Note: The 4 errors you see are 4 png images giving 404s. Problem with the theme developer and has been so for some time.

Does any one know what can cause this?

Could your server be sanitizing it and removing them?

Hi @OscarGodson, thanks for the info, I roughly went through the logs and there seems to be a change as you suggest. I will check and if its the case close.
