Guests visit on special occasions
It would be cool if guests who are family or friends and are not unfriendly to the colony, would visit on special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, possibly funerals and they could bring gifts as an option too.
To avoid hardcoding every possible event, this would have to be restricted to events that use parties. Also, since these events can't be predicted very well, guests would show up when the party begins. This means the party might be over before the guests have reached the base. Also, guests can't currently attend parties. This would have to be implemented as a separate feature.
I've investigated. Unfortunately, the way RimWorld does visitors, guests will never be able to attend parties. So they could still come by for an event and bring gifts, but not attend.
