Sdk menu quickly popping up then not show again.

I'm having an issue with me not being able to use the menu. I followed the instructions to install sdk and when I started the game, the menu would pop up, and then disappeared. Even when using the key to bring up the menu, it won't stay up for more than a few seconds.
