Open Shlavf opened this issue 6 years ago • 10 comments

Hey, when I launch Statman the application is running but it's "waiting for a game" even if the game is already on ready to go. Any explains please?

Which game are you trying to use it with and what version of said game?

I'm having the same issue. I've tried every version of Statman without success. I've got the Steam version of BM so it should be fine, unless different regions get different exe. files

@Zbignyev Can you go to the installation directory of Hitman Blood Money (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Blood Money), hold shift and right click somewhere in the empty space in the folder (make sure there's no file selected), press Open command window here or Open PowerShell window here, stop holding shift, and then in the window that shows up type powershell Get-FileHash -algorithm sha1 HitmanBloodMoney.exe, press enter, and reply here with what it printed back?

Also, what version of Windows are you on?

Thanks for your reply. I am on the latest version of Windows 10.

Here's the message:

@Zbignyev That looks right. Can you try grabbing the Statman build from the last comment in this issue and seeing if that works? Make sure you're running it as administrator (even though it shouldn't let you run it without admin). Also, do you have any anti-virus software installed on your computer?

Make sure that you extract all the files from the zip archive into a folder before running Statman. Don't run it directly from the zip file.

Thanks a lot! I had tried all the versions listed in the readme but not this one. Works like a charm now.

Hi man. Dont know are you still active here but i need help with this same problem, but in mine case when i type: powershell Get-FileHash -algorithm sha1 HitmanBloodMoney.exe , it says: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Blood Money> D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Blood Money>powershell Get- FileHash -algorithm sha1 HitmanBloodMoney.exe The term 'Get-FileHash' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, sc ript file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path wa s included, verify that the path is correct and try again. At line:1 char:13

  • Get-FileHash <<<< -algorithm sha1 HitmanBloodMoney.exe
    • CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (Get-FileHash:String) [], Comman dNotFoundException
    • FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Blood Money> D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Blood Money>

ps: it worked yesterday ...

It crashes immediately on launch.
