Catalog search facet order from POSM

Descriptive summary

Facets on the search catalog page should be ordered as below to better align with POSM's idea of user preference and most importance.

Some facets have had their names changed.

Copyright Topic Date Location Genre (Changed from Work Type) Type (Changed from Media) File Format (Changed from Format) Language Creator Collection Institution

Expected behavior

Facets are renamed and ordered as above.

Comments from Metadata Team:

  • Did determine order and labels of core facets in former ticket (linked above)
  • Would like Creator to be moved higher up in list
  • Genre can be confusing to users as that term has varying subject meanings; open to other suggestions if Work Type is not best fit
  • Reminder that these can be customized per collection anyway
  • Would like UX analysis

Adding a comment so this resurfaces: We need to reduce the number of facet showing on the search page, which is drawing complaints from the public. Please use, in this order:

I'd like to keep Decade [after Date] and Local Collection Name [after Collection] as well. Both are very useful to archivists looking to sift through large search results.
