Profiles in NVIDIA app, control panel and ProfileInspector are different - WHY?

When creating a profile in the nvidia app it is different from creating it in NVCP. For my specific case the profile from the app shows in inspector, while the NVCP profile does not. The game on the other hand ignores the app profile and uses the NVCP profile. So I can't use Inspector to adjust things. Also on driver update things might or might not happen to the profiles.

What to make of it?
