Unmaintained?

Is this project actively maintained? Doesn't look like any activity from the owner in 5+ years with some useful additions waiting like #23 and some drawbacks (like ToC links https://github.com/OrangeShark/guile-commonmark/issues/6#issuecomment-243314191). Are there active forks or other featureful Markdown (or better yet, org-mode) parsers?
