Uninternationalised strings in UI

I have found some hardcoded strings in various places. For example, the Gestures UI in the management console. I'm also guilty of temporarily using hard coded strings for UI dialogs, which I hopefully always rectify before finalising a PR.

At some point we should do a pass of the whole codebase to identify + fix any such issues.
