Game doesn't shutdown gracefully during crashes

Describe the bug When a crash occurs for whatever reason the game's process stays up still taking up memory and cpu, forcing me to kill it. To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Happens whenever the game crashes, if i just open the game, load a save and quit the game from the menu, then the process does not persist.

Expected behavior The game process does not linger after the window is closed.

I omitted that t in 'tl' between the timestamp in ps output implies that it's stopped(by the debugger)

Try to test it now. I' fixed one of the issues that could cause that!
