CPU usage goes high when we add same camera multiple session

Open dhavalsolankislk opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

Hello, We are using open vidu in our application. We upgraded our application to version 2.16.0. We are testing ip camera so when we are adding two ip camera in one session then our cpu usage goes as per shown below

1session+2ipcamera

Now when i again add one more session with same two ip cameras cpu usages will be going high as given below

2ipcamera+2session

I have added networkCache to 0 in my case for live streaming

May I know why I am getting this type of behavior for in cpu usage in server.

Hi!

Is this a standard OpenVidu deployment? If you are deploying it without the official Docker-based procedure, then I'm afraid we won't be able to provide support.

Hi @pabloFuente We have setup server as per official open vidu mentioned website.

IP Camera support in OpenVidu is provided based on underlying GStreamer features.

It seems the camera you are connecting causes some misbehavior in the server.

Are you connecting the exact IP Cameras to several sessions? From the resources point of view is better to connect the same camera only once and connect users to the session camera.

Hi @micaelgallego yes we are connecting same IP camera to multiple session as per our requirement.
