Session Init/Free/Zero - Call Alignment

Similar to the key state init/free/zero PRs that were recently raised - since the code base depends on free(NULLs) it is good practice and better quality to ensure that the init functions match the free functions as well as zeroing out the memory pointers whenever possible!
