VM Kali running in VMWare

Host: Ubuntu 22.04.3 Lts VM Kali running in VMWare.

Although Kali recognizes the usb network adapter Realtek 802.11 a when connected (I have the option "Connect: Disconnet from Host" and vice versa), i cannot manage to make it show in ifconfig and iwconfig. I have tried everything.

Since Ubuntu (the host) sees it as Network adapter without any problem, could it be a drivers issue in kali? If so, where can I download them from? (sorry if this may sound silly but I didn't find them on Realtek website).

or maybe Kali only sees it as usb device and not as network adapter.
