Playback speed is slowed down

Describe the bug Playback speed is slowed down

Steps to reproduce the behavior: No error message was shown, the last behavior was exporting a video in HD 720P 25fps (exported video is not affected, only the video preview)

Expected behavior Playback at 1x speed, unknown what speed preview is operating at

Your computer is somewhat underpowred for video editing, and OpenShot is no exception. You don't mention how much RAM you have in your computer and what type of a hard drive and how much free space you have.

but try these adjustments and see if this helps:

  1. Free up as much disk space as possible.
  2. Ensure your Windows operatins system updates and hardware drivers are up to day.
  3. Make your "Video Preview' a bit smaller in size.
  4. Make the following Cache adjustements in Edit | Preferences | Cache tab: image
