Titles export wrong at 4k

Open Borketh opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug: Titles scale wrong at 4k

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Make a video with 4k source, profile, and output.
  • Make a title and put it over the source video.
  • Export the video
  • Title is now shrunk into a 1080p equivalent top left corner, contrary to how it displays in editor.

Expected behavior: Titles export in the same way as they display in editor.

System Details:

  • OpenShot Version [e.g. 2.4.3]: 3.1.1 (libopenshot 0.3.2)
  • Operating System / Distro: CachyOS (Linux 6.9, KDE Plasma (Wayland) 6.0)

Hello @Borketh I tested this in both in Windows 11 Pro and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (KDE-Wayland) and it is working fine for me.

If you could, please provide step-by-step instructions of what you did. For example:

  1. Did you change the Profile first before you created your project or did you import first and then changed your Profile in OpenShot?
  2. Which Exact profile did you select while editing. Don't just tell me 4k, but tell me the complete profile name.
  3. When you Exported, did you change the profile again or did you leave it the default which would have been whatever your profile is/was during the editing process?
  4. Any other detail you would like to share. Thank you in advance!

Hi, sorry. Forgot about this issue. The profile I have as default is 4K UHD 2160p 30fps, which the project is also using. Now, I may have had the default at 720p at the time I started the project, but I do not recall.

After a little poking I confirmed what you appear to suspect - starting a project at one resolution and changing the resolution afterward causes the issue. I started a new project with the default set to 720p30, then changed it to 4k30 after creating the title. Here's the result: image
