Add a "Masks" panel (in addition to effects, transitions, and emojis)

Openshot provides effects, transitions, and emojis as standard assets. But it does not provide masks.

Please add a section for masks. Most commonly used masks can be provided as default.

Aren't Masks just image files (.jpg, png, svg)? Which then they would show up in the Images tab. Are you saying to further separate them and group them under a "Masks" tab?

Exactly!

In fact, I can think of three separate categories of objects:

  • Masks are black and white images, and they are not useful for annotations.
  • Smileys and other fixed images are used for annotations.
  • Shapes (as created in InkScape and Glaxnimate) have flexible attributes (stroke, fill, gradient...).

Therefore, they should be kept in separate panels/tabs.
