When spectating teamgames the hotkey to switch view doesn't seem to work

Open noobmapmaker opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

Just now I spectated a teamgame. Normally in a 1v1 I use a hotkey (0) to switch views. For 1v1s this works just fine. For teamgames this seems not to work and I have to manually select the team from the dropdown menu.

Also in the settings menu under Input - Observer menu there is no place where you can assign a key to "switch team view". There is for the "-" (all players) and "=" (disable shroud), but not for the 0.

0 - switch between 'No Team' players so works for 1v1 without team and for players having 'No Team' in team game. It doesn't work for 1v1 when they are in Team 1 and Team 2. 1 - switch between players in Team 1 2 - switch between players in Team 2 .... IMO there are no configurable hotkeys due to simpler/natural implementation for keys 0-9 mapped to Team number 0-9.

I assume this is feature, not bug. Configurable hotkeys could be added, but I don't think it is needed.

ping @dragunoff these keybinds are yet to be exposed

These hotkeys can be exposed but we allow (I think) up to 32 teams (64 spawns). Of course I don't expect anyone to use hotkeys for anything above a few teams and there are rarely such games. In any case this is a good use case for a repeater hotkey UI (same applies to production and control groups hotkeys).
