Map too large (shifted) to use/ export
Steps to reproduce
- I sometimes need to make a map without prior preparations on desktop.
- Just me and my phone.
- I launch OOM and open an old project.
- I center on new location and start scribbling, drawing.
- On Android everything works perfectly.
- Though maximum distance I have tried between old project and new was cca 175 km (see att.) Is there a limit?
- The trouble is: working with this file later on desktop.
- it can not be exported as image
- you can not delete the old project (it does not appear on screen)
- it can not be printed (nothing on screen)
- if exported as Ocad it can be opened only in Pro version (too large area)
- At this stage I have not tried to delete the old project data first. Perhaps then the behaviour is different.
Expected behaviour
It would be great if there was an option to start a new map in Adroid app. Or the process above is streamlined somehow.
Attachment: Rokytnice.zip The old project is the map by lake. The new one is the path lined with towers.
I've tested it myself. If I empty the old project (140K away) first, then jump to my actual gps position and start drawing and scribbling there...
- The frames for export and printing are just bounding the new drawings
- I can open it with a regular OCAD
Thus your 8. should work.
Starting a new map is tricky as you would have to be able to do all this basic settings like reference system on the android app. Maybe a "Save as" would be an easier option. You then had your basic Ales-Mapper-template overwrite-protected in the samples folder, open it from there but save it "save as" into your common project folder later on.
@mlerjen Great, that is the easiest solution :)
I guess one empty pregeoreferenced ISOM and one ISSPROM map in OMapper folder would be the fastest arrangement.
