Create VM with two datastore.

Open rdziwinski opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Hello :) Description I think it's would be nice to add possibility to have one vm with disk in two datastores.

Use case For example: One VM with two disk. One with local fast ssd for OS and DB and separate disk on Ceph with media, static and backups.

Interface Changes I think Sunstone is ready for that.

Additional Context Some days ago i reported problem with it at OpenNebula Community forum: https://forum.opennebula.io/t/unable-to-add-disk-from-other-tm-mad/10949

Sorin Paduraru also wrote about that: https://forum.opennebula.io/t/multi-tiered-local-storage-for-vms/10950

  • This should also include the ability to migrate individual disks to another datastore

Progress Status

  • [ ] Code committed
  • [ ] Testing - QA
  • [ ] Documentation (Release notes - resolved issues, compatibility, known issues)

Thanks, yes most parts are ready for this. It needs double check drivers and combinations.

Hi, any update about it? Adding a disk with a different datastore and TM_MAD will be very useful :)
