Spotted this one today. Not sure if I'd call it a 'bug', but it's interesting.

Any clue how this happened? It definitely looks like something that shouldn't happen

They are AI planes, so no I don't, sorry. According to their last income date, they had been doing that for 30 game years.

this actually looks almost exactly like #2191 but with planes instead of ships, I wonder if there is a similar cause

I wonder what would happen if you take control of the AI company and stop and restart the planes

I tried that but nothing changed.

the planes are stuck on approaching the airport, but not in the pattern for approaching (further away than they should be) changing the destination won't change anything as they are trying to land.

maybe there should be some kind of failsafe to allow them to cancel approaching.

regardless it's likely the issue is with the approaching airport code.
