Date Bar: Changes in Date Format should be immediately visible (improvement / feature request)

Open just-Nob opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

General information

  • App version: 0.5.10 (from F-Droid)
  • Android Version: 7.1.1 Nougat

Expected result

What is expected? When changing the date format in OpenLaucher's settings, all changes should be immediately visible after closing the settings dialogue.

What does happen instead? In current Version, it takes some time (a few seconds up to a minute, I guess) before changed date format is displayed on launcher's screen(s) in the date bar after closing the settings. This is especially annoying if fiddling around with custom date format. This behaviour may also affect other settings, I haven't tried out / recognized yet. I suggest to make a screen refresh immediately after closing the settings.

Steps to reproduce

  • Open OpenLauncher's Settings.
  • Change the date bar's format.
  • CLose settings.
  • Have a look at the date bar. :)

or at least instantly warn me that custom format that I entered is not syntactically correct, instead of displaying Bad Format instead of date after I already closed settings.
