Add proper access point identification and evaluation in get_ap_status

The try/except stanza that sets the status of the current_ap in get_ap_status should actually evaluate if CoPilot is providing an access point instead of simply looking for if the AP name is set in the trainer and showing a "on" state if it does not raise an exception.
