App slow loading workflows + AI Assistant refresh & session issues
Describe the bug
The app loads workflows very slowly. The AI Assistant page goes blank and auto-refreshes when left inactive. Additionally, the AI Assistant session persists across jobs incorrectly and the close (X) button does not work.
Version number
Lightning version: v2.14.8-pre1 (1.5.43)
I have reproduced this locally on main:

To Reproduce
- Log into the app.
- Open a workflow (e.g., MSF project).
- Observe: slow loading.
- Leave the AI Assistant page inactive for some minutes.
- Observe: page goes blank → auto-refreshes.
- Open AI Assistant in one job → ask a question → switch to another job.
- Observe: assistant still shows question from the previous job.
- Try to close the AI Assistant using the
Xbutton.- Observe: button does not work.
Expected behavior
- Workflows should load quickly.
- AI Assistant should not go blank or refresh when inactive.
- Each job should open with its own independent AI Assistant session.
- The
Xbutton should reliably close the Assistant.

Additional context
- Aisha noted performance improved when using VPN, suggesting possible network influence.
- Issue observed multiple times on different machines.
Is this only true on workflows with huge job expressions? On small projects the app right now is highly responsive. MSF, which has a lot of mapping data in job code, is running slowly though

@josephjclark , This is affecting workflows with Huge job expressions. In this case, the behaviour was noted on the msf-lime-mosul project
