Tower Strike and tower clearance
I'm running openfast 3.5.3.
I've been getting some issues with tower strikes. I can't seem to work out why. This may be due to a misunderstanding on my part, so I'm keen to hear what you guys think. I've checked my blade tip deflection with externally with two other softwares and it shouldn't impact the tower. When I run openfast, my outputs seem to show that my tower clearance is fine, however openfast fails with the error tower strike.

I tried running the simulation by increasing the overhang to -5.0 and I get the following error:

Your results are changing very quickly over the first few time steps, which suggest to me that your model is unstable.
Is this an OpenFAST model you generated yourself or are you using one of the NREL-provided examples? For the latter, did you change the model in some way?
