URI to download full OEO on OEP is hidden / not accessible

Open chrwm opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

When clicking to download the OEO in the owl format on the OEP (see picture) or here, the link provides only an overview of OEO. Subsequent separate downloads have to be done to download the entire ontology.

grafik

An ontology crawler only finds 99 triples.

The W3C convention to fetch entire ontologies is: http://openenergy-platform.org/ontology/oeo/ a owl:Ontology This command should return the whole OEO: curl -H "Accept: application/rdf+xml" http://openenergy-platform.org/ontology/oeo/

There seems to be a URI which returns the full OEO on the platform, but is not prominently/at all presented on the website: https://openenergy-platform.org/ontology/oeo/releases/oeo-full.owl It would be great to provide this URI of the complete ontology in an accessible way on the OEP, possibly with some content negotiation.

As discussed in the OEO-DEV-44 we need to redesign the page a bit. We want to add a section on top with the link to the "full oeo". Here we also add the links to classes and viewer

In addition the "oeo" file will be displayed under the section "oeo main"

OEO dev 44: The "most philosophic question" what is "true" => @fabianneuhaus will have a look on this.

I think this went in the wrong issue and repo. I copied it to #1148

I started the implementation but realised I am not able to adapt the code properly. Please fix and review @adelmemariani or @jh-RLI.

One part is the design of the webpage. For that, we found a solution.

But there is a second part:

The W3C convention to fetch entire ontologies is: http://openenergy-platform.org/ontology/oeo/ a owl:Ontology This command should return the whole OEO: curl -H "Accept: application/rdf+xml" http://openenergy-platform.org/ontology/oeo/

If I understand this comment correctly, the URL http://openenergy-platform.org/ontology/oeo/ should directly provide the oeo-full file and not the overview page where you can download all the files and access the oeo viewers.
