analytics?
do we want analytics? is there something that is easy to setup with Sphinx? is there a good alternative to Google?
Seems like a good idea. I'm not a fan of feeding the advertising beasts, but there are plenty of FOSS, self-hosted analytics solutions. Maybe it's time to think about how we handle this across the sites, including opendronemap.org. @pierotofy, any thoughts?
I'm not sure if I really understand this analytics but It would be useful to know how many visits are distributed along the different sections of the documentation site, also reading time, web browser type, etc.
Even with a limited access to this information, an individual willing to help can direct their efforts to real documentation needs.
We have Google Analytics on opendronemap.org, perhaps not the best solution long term, I'm open to suggestions for FOSS ones, as I'm unfamiliar with choices here.
I need to find the link I found a while back to alternatives...

This seemed like a really well-reasoned read to me
