Opendrift for fecal concentration simulation

Hello everyone,

I want to use Opendrift to simulate fecal concentration (with CROCO), but these particles have characteristics that make it difficult to get a more realistic simulation. Is there any code that has been used for this topic before? If not, are there other models that work to address the same problem?

Hello, which OpenDrift model are using or planning to use for this simulation, are you using the basic OpenDrift? Why did you decide on this model for this research problem? I find the topic and research question interesting and I'm curious if it is possible to have meaningful simulations particularly with OpenDrift. I guess, in order to simulate the problem you should be able to give different additional properties, such as chemical composition and the way the particles are expected to interact with the environment, if you are simulating fecal particle dispersion. If you want to simulate concentrations isn't it more meaningful to use a model for chemical simulations?
