Issues getting LEDs working

Open hlmtre opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

Hi folks! I've successfully flashed the AnnePro2-QMK firmware of varying keymaps, and that all works. I've also successfully flashed the AnnePro2-Shine binaries, but that appears to do nothing, and I have to reflash the regular QMK firmware to get the keys to input anything again.

I have also tried the hints in the default keymap.c (annepro2LedEnable() and annepro2LedSetProfile(0)) to no avail. I cannot figure out how to get the LEDs to turn on!

I'm fairly certain I'm missing something obvious, like 'you have to copy the annepro2-shine.bin to some directory in the QMK folder, dumbass' or the issue is that the -t led flag hangs indefinitely (despite detecting the AP2 in IAP mode).

Thanks for the project! I am excite.

Have you tried Fn2 + 9?

I have. I've tried a lot of permutations of Fn keys and ... well, everything else. All the Fn variants + number keys and no backlight joy.

Great, thanks. The docs indicate this at the bottom but the issue I ran into attempting that is as soon as I'd flash the LED binary, the keys stopped inputting anything, and insultingly, the LEDs didn't work either. I'll give it another shot soon.

You have to flash both QMK and Shine binaries.

First flash QMK and then flash Shine. It is explained better here https://openannepro.github.io/install/

I am having the same problems on C18. LEDs are not working but keys are ok.

@rafaelmartinsrm

I am having the same problems on C18. LEDs are not working but keys are ok.

I specifically had to perform both flashes of the binaries individually.

./annepro2_tools ./annepro2_c18_default.bin
./annepro2_tools --boot -t led ./annepro2-shine-C18.bin
