Addition: Tour input - a tour through the tree of life, about the worlds most extreme trees
It might be interesting to have a tour through the tree of life that uses the data from the largest trees known: https://www.monumentaltrees.com This website is a nice glossary of some of the largest trees in the world per species, and it need not be that complicated to map it to the species and have a tour.
It's remarkable that it seems dominated by Conifers and the like and I'm wondering what other interesting things may be learned from visting the tree of life. All the redwoods seem to be immense, and so does the whole Cypres family. So, where does the gigantism stop? or other way, where does it begin? In addition, by scrolling through - how could the Ground Juniper be so closely related to the largest trees to have ever existed?
Thanks @tsktsktsk123 this is a great suggestion. I've labelled it for our tours project. We are awaiting word on whether our tours project has received funding, if it has then we'll be coding it all up over the next 18 months and may be back in touch for your thoughts on making this one of the example tours.
