All files and folders hidden when used

I installed file-hider into my ITS theme. Using the file directory button on the upper right, I went through my folders and hid all files with the .edtz extension. Worked great. The next day, I restarted Obsidian and the file directory list was gone. When I clicked on the collapse/expand button, the directory list would flash but then disappear. When I disabled the file-hider plug-in, my directory list returned.
