Icon family dropdown closes immediately after opening

This extension looks great!! I look forward to what else will be added to it in the future. However, currently as I just got the extension, my bookmarks sections are entirely dice and text, and I've noticed a couple things while adjusting that.

Icons Bug:

  • If I try to click on the Icons Family drop-down, it shows the drop-down for a second then closes the icon picker entirely, so I can't look through what icons are available for websites by category unless I scroll through every single one listed. Seems like a bug.

Icons Requests:

  • It doesn't seem to give me an option to not have a Title on my bookmarks. I don't mind the tiny URL at the bottom but would prefer to see mostly icons, or at least majority icon with the title small like the url is, and (optionally) centered to the square if possible.

  • For those that prefer text over icons as it is now, absolutely a font size or font family picker! Currently even some of my one-word website titles get cut off. I suggest being able to put in specific numbers, as automatic font size adjustment would look weird. Could potentially allow just putting in a google fonts link for the style?

Other request:

  • Ability to disable the 'glassy blur' background filter, so I can have fully clear backgrounds if I want them, as well as turning off the like... dots? These give a cool vibe to the tab screen but should be optional.

  • Persistent to-do list? I have things I have to do every day, and currently this one deleted all finished entries.

This extension seems better than any I've tried before now, but I know making things like this is difficult so I understand if the feature requests are rejected for any reason. Thanks so much for reading!

Hello! Could you send me a screenshot of the console (Right click on page > Inspect > Console tab) after this happens or video recording (with console visible) how you replicate the issue?

This is good idea, I moved it in separate issue #231

This request comes up from time to time, but I'm a bit hesitant about adding support for custom fonts, due to different reasons, but mostly because fonts will require additional time to load. Which will slow down loading the page and also users are likely to see a default font for a moment, before custom font is loaded. I might consider adding couple of alternative fonts provided with the extension (e.g. like notion does in their app), but it's not a priority right now

I agree that it can look nicer for some images/users, but I don't have a goal of allowing to customize every aspect of the extension (quite opposite actually), so I don't think this should be added as an option, unless there is noticeable demand from users.

Persistent to-do list? I have things I have to do every day, and currently this one deleted all finished entries.

Yeah... So original idea was to have bare minimum for widgets like tasks and calendar, and for more advanced use cases to have integration with popular apps (e.g. Google Calendar for calendar widget, or Todoist for to-do widget). But that didn't happen. I myself would love integration with GCalendar and TickTick, but it takes quite a lot of time to make those and I currently don't have enough time or desire to work on Anori as actively as before

I'm not too used to github so I hope this uploads correctly lol (and that I did this right...) to be clear this is Firefox version

Thank you for considering the icon options! Wanting to keep lag low in regards to fonts is very fair. I think the glassy/dots aspect of the background could make tiled backgrounds look a little odd, but completely understandable that this would be very low priority unless more people request it. Also very fair that you're short on time and energy to do all this, as mentioned in first post I can only imagine how difficult this all is to get going. I hope in the future this extension becomes more popular though, even as-is I've not really seen anything else so far that can match it. Even if Anori ends up being just a bugfixes-only type past project, I wish you well for whatever you work on next!

Thank you ❤️ You did everything correct, thanks. I'll take a look on this bug, hopefully soon

I was never able to reproduce the issue to fix it, but I reworked this component in latest version (1.24), so it's hopefully now fixed. It will take a couple days for the store to review new version and for your browser to update.

I'll close this issue now, feel free to reopen if issue still persists.
