This adds linux support (and probably also macOS X)

Thanks for your contribution to the project! Have you been able to test this in a Linux environment already? I think there are still a few pieces in the code that could potentially crash on a Linux OS.

the only thing which i'm not sure would work is the build.sh since i've never used pyinstaller before
