Is there a git pull available/possible before doing a "update gist"?

Description:

I am new to Script lab and just started building some addins using script-lab. I build a add-in on windows and pushed it to gist.github. After a while, I started working on a mac machine.

Very soon, I saw that my versions on mac and windows were different. However since I couldn't do a git pull first, I am afraid, I am pushing older changes to gist. Is there a possibility to do a git pull first before updating the gist?
