Cannot resize horizontally on macOS
On macOS, right now we cannot resize it horizontally which makes hard to write/read codes. Most time, the horizontal resize cursor won't show. I cannot resize horizontally. Sometimes it shows, but there is a max width limit like the screenshot which is already max width.

@saunders77 , can you redirect this back to the platform?
What is the status on this one? Just installed and wanted to get started, but the viewport is way too narrow to be functionally useful. :/
Unfortunately, there no status update per se. @saunders77, it would be good to report this to the Platform team, and see if larger widths could be possible.
For what we can do on the Script Lab side, we could allow a pop-out dialog-api-based editor. That is tracked on the backlog by https://github.com/OfficeDev/script-lab/issues/277
@deinspanjer , in terms of an actionable suggestion (and sorry, it's admittedly not a great one...), you can separately open https://script-lab.azureedge.net/ in a browser, choose the appropriate host via the buttons on the bottom of the page (wait a few seconds), and then author there, then copy-paste back into the Mac taskpane. Not great, but something. I should also note that we recently discovered a bug on the latest versions of the Mac office, which won't impact your own writing of snippets or the browsing of samples, but will cause an issue if you want to import someone else's: https://github.com/OfficeDev/script-lab/issues/742. So, if you have access to a Windows machine (or the ability to run Windows on your Mac), that realistically might be a better choice for the time being, for use with Script Lab.
Sorry couldn't give you better news at the moment. Best! ~ Michael
