Cannot delete a Resource from my project

Opened my project

Tried to remove a resource (not assigned to any task) from the project in the Resource tab (selected resource and pressed delete)

Got the attached error.

Tried 2 different resources, same result. If this isn't possible due to database constraints, then the delete function shouldn't be available .
