Hi Thanks for this. We'll do a build for the latest obs as soon as we can and update this ticket when released. Thanks for letting us know it was out :)

No problem, great work by the way!

Any plans of releasing a "Beta" version for the 28.0.0-rc1 release?

Xaymar avatar Aug 20 '22 06:08 Xaymar

@Xaymar generally speaking we only target the official releases as the release candidate releases tend to continue coming out and require rebuilds from us. However if we do manage a build before then we'll notify on this thread

Normally libOBS keeps backwards compatibility from the first Release Candidate to the final version, which is how StreamFX has been able to support the latest OBS Studio versions ahead of them being released with no update being necessary from StreamFX itself.

I'm looking forward to the build. At the moment the lack of obs-spout2 has resulted in me falling back to NDI and Virtual Cameras, which have significantly higher overhead than Spout2.

@Xaymar @crystall1nedev If you have time, could you test out this pre-release https://github.com/Off-World-Live/obs-spout2-plugin/releases/tag/v1.5-beta_obs28-rc1
