Missing basic tutorial
Hi! I appreciate your code. But I am having some difficulties on make it work. How do I project a custom image on a basic Blender plane?
Could you provide a quick first-steps tutorial?
Thanks
Sorry @decadenza, somehow I missed your question. Yes there should be a getting started tutorial. I'll move it up on my todo list!
Quick Tutorial for you:
- Install the Addon (descibed on the README page LINK and switch to Cycles as a render Engine.
- Create a Projector:
- Select Custom Texture from the dropdown:
- Select the Image/Video texture.
- The Projection is only visible in Rendered-Mode:
Thanks for your work. This could help others.
Hello, for me this works when I connect the "Don't Touch node's" color field connected to "Emission node's" color field, otherwise the image does not display. Bug or feature?
@szat you followed the my steps and the images didn't show up? If yes, what version of blender and the add-on are you using? I just check and I couldn't reproduce it. As a side node for next time: Please open a new issue. The original author asked for a tutorial and for a bug fix.
Hi, I am still struggling as to where to find the Projector options like throw ratio etc.? It's not under object properties nor light or camera properties....
Ok got it - in Blender you have to click a small arrow on the edge of the menu so the Tools menu appear....should be in the manual as well.
@trackme518 Thanks for your feedback! The Blender user interface has changed over the years (when I first created the plugin, it was easier to find the projector settings :) )
@trackme518 thank you so much !
As i'm new to blender I struggled so much to find this tiny arrow in blender 3.1+
