crash when try to sync

I have done the following steps: installed obsidian installed the plugin installed anki installed ankiconnect

copied and pasted relevant block into the config in anki

I go to my vault and try to put in the following: TARGET DECK: TEST START Basic This is a test. Back: Test successful! Tags: Testing END

I press the sync icon on the left hand side of the screen

Anki freezes with spinning wheel of death and I have to force quit

Running obsidian v0.12.3 and anki 2.1.44

any ideas what is going on? I really want this to work.

Mine was working yesterday and started crashing today too.

I'm having similar issues! Really frustrating, this plugin seems super powerful.

I've re-installed both Obsidian and Anki, even tried retrofitting Anki to the versions that came out closer to when the plugin was first written. I've tried disabling all other plugins systematically to see if they're interfering too. But nothing seems to work - ANKI freezes and gets stuck on the "requesting tag modifications" command.

Anybody having any luck figuring out what's going wrong?
