Working with custom note types

I am trying to use https://github.com/Otter-man/anki_shortcut_js_field to create a deck with some keyboard shortcuts. However for some reason, when I specify custom note type like this:

TARGET DECK: test1
START
Shortcut_offline
Rename Session
Back: Control+b
Tags: Testing
END

It doesn't work- nothing shown in anki and no ID rendered below. But it does work if I use the BASIC note type.
